1. What is Flodeo?

Flodeo is a website that lets you easily create your own personalized photo blog, your own space to share your life and communicate through your photos. Your friends will be able to visit your blog and post comments on your photos.

2. What is a blog? What is a photo blog?

A blog or a photo blog is a personal space where you can post photos every day and add a description or a comment; you can also update it, enter your favorite links and add friends'blogs to favorites.

3. What is Flodeo used for?

To post an unlimited amount of photos every day, with the option of adding them a comment or a description. Your friends will be able to visit your blog and post comments on each photo.

4. Is it free?

Yes, your Flodeo account is completely free.

5. What type of photos can I upload?

You can upload any type of photo that does not contain porn, racist or violent material. You can check our Terms and Conditions for more details.

6. I found an inappropriate photo. How do I report it?

You must click on the option "Report to a moderator" which is below the photo. It is not necesarry to be logged in to report the photo, you only have to enter a reason and any additional information if necessary.

7. Why am I not receiving the confirmation email?

Please follow these steps to confirm your account:

  • Make sure you didn't mispel your email when you registered.
  • You may also need to wait a little longer; sometimes it takes a little while until email gets to your inbox.
  • Make sure you did click on the "Create my photo blog" link.

8. How do I change my email address so as to receive the activation email again?

If your account hasn't been activated yet, click on any of the links of your blog (My account, My Favorites, Personalize, etc.) and you will see the option "change email address". Click on the link and we will resend you the activation email.

9. How can I receive the activation email again?

If your account hasn't been activated yet, click on any of the links of your blog (My account, My Favorites, Personalize, etc.) and you will see the option "resend activation email". Click on the link and we will resend you the activation email.

10. How can I go to my personal blog?

You can either log in entering your email address and password, or paste the link into your browser: www.flodeo.com/yournick, for example, if your nickname is Peter, write www.flodeo.com/peter.

11. Can I save my account information at Flodeo?

Yes, select the option "Remember my email and password on this computer" when logging in.

12. I don't remember my password, can you help?

Click on the "Forgot your password?" link and enter the email address you registered with your account. We will send you an email with your account information.

13. Why did you close my account?

Probably, your account contained inappropriate material. Check our Terms and Conditions for more details. If you're still convinced your blog should have made it through, you can Contact us.

14. How do I use Flodeo? How do I start browsing through my blog?

-Create your Flodeo account: Go to Flodeo's homepage and click on the appropriate link to sign up. Complete all the required fields and make sure that your email address is correct. A confirmation email will be sent with further instructions.
-Upload photos: Once you have confirmed your email address through the link we sent you, you can upload up to 3 photos. Remember that these 3 photos will be your 3 photos for the day. You can also post a comment on each photo.
-Invite and notify friends and contacts: You can notify your contacts automatically by selecting the option that will copy your contact list from your email account. If you do not have an email account, you can also notify contacts by entering their emails on the following step.
-Edit my blog's preferences: You can select your preferences (background, text, links, block list and privacy). You can modify your preferences and any information you entered whenever you want.

15. How do I upload my photos?

Go to the section My photos:
Step 1: Upload your photos for the day, their size must not exceed 2mb. Then, click on "Continue".
Step 2: you can post a comment on each photo, attach tags and add a watermark. Click on "Post" and your photos will be submitted.

16. I can't upload my photo. Why?

Probably, the file you try to upload is larger than specified or has an invalid file extension. Remember that the image file size must not exceed 2mb and accepted file types are jpg, png and gif (not animated).

17. Can I change a photo I already uploaded?

No, you can delete the photo but you will not be able to upload another one in its place. Step 2 gives you the option to delete the photo selected on step 1. Once you click on the "Post" link, you will not be able to upload another one in its place.

18. Why can I only upolad 3 photos?

Flodeo allows you to upload up to 3 photos per day; if you want to bump up your daily upload limit to 6 photos, you must add more than 5 blogs to favorites.

19. How do I post a comment on my photo?

You can post a comment while uploading the photo or after that, by going to My Photos > Photo Archive and selecting the photo.

20. What are tags or keywords? What are they used for?

Tags are keywords or labels that you can attach to your photos. They are used to make it easier for users to find your photo through the quick search.

21. How do I attach tags?

When you upload a photo you can choose to attach tags to it. You can also attach them once you uploaded your photos by going to My Photos > Photo Archive and selecting the photo. Remember to save changes.

22. What can I do to receive comments?

Go to My Account > Preferences and choose the appropriate option to determine who can post comments on your photos:

  • Anyone.
  • Only Flodeo members (those who have a Flodeo account).
  • Only my Favorites.
  • No one

23. How do I personalize my blog? How do I adjust the colors of my page?

To personalize your blog, click on the 'Personalize' link, within 'Design'. There you can write the title for your blog and select its color. You can also choose a font size for the title and the links as well as a color for the text, links, boxes and background. You can also attach a background image.

24. How do I add links?

Go to the option Personalize, click on the 'Links' option and add them. They will appear on your blog.

25. What is news?

In the news section, you can add a story, an announcement or whatever you want.

26. How do I add news?

Go to Personalize > News to add news.

27. How do I change my profile photo?

Go to My account > My profile to change your profile photo.

28. How do I modify my preferences?

Click on the 'Preferences' link within My account to change your preferences.

29. How do I change the email address that is registered with my account?

Go to My account > Account information and change it. Remember that you will have to confirm the new email address by visiting the link we will email you to reactivate your account.

30. Can I change my password?

Yes, click on the 'Account information' link within My account to change your password.

31. Can I change my username?

No, your nickname is used to identify your photo blog and to create your own link (for example www.flodeo.com/peter). Consequently, you cannot change it.

32. How do I block a user?

To block users from posting comments, go to your guestbook and click on the 'block user' link below the message that user posted.

33. Can I delete comments on my blog?

Yes, click on the "Delete comment" link below the comment.

34. How can I add favorites to my Flodeo?

To add a blog to your favorites, simply go to the blog you'd like to add and click on the "Add this blog to Favorites" link on the top-right of the page. You can also click on the "Add to favorites" link that is below that user's comment on your blog.

35. How do I rank my Top 5 favorites?

Go to My Favorites and click on the stars to rate your favorites and list your Top 5.

36. Can I prevent users from copying my photos?

Yes, go to My account > Preferences and click yes on the option which asks you if you want to block people from downloading your photos by preventing the right-click menu.

37.What is a watermark?

A watermark is a special message embedded in an image to identify it as your own work and discourage people from copying it or claiming it as their own. The watermark that we add to your photo is "www.flodeo.com/yournickname"

38. Whay can't I post comments on some photo blogs?

Probably, that users determined on their preferences that they don't want to receive comments.

39. How do I tell my friends about my latest photos?

Go to Personalize, within Notify Contacts, and tell your friends about your latest photos.

40. How does Notify contacts work?

You have 3 options to notify your contacts:

  1. You can obtain their email addresses from your email contact list.
  2. You can select contacts from your Flodeo friends list
  3. Or you can enter the names and emails of the contacts you want to notify.

41. Why do you ask for my email ID and password?

We ask you for your email account information so that you can select friends from your email contact list to send them a notification.

42. How do I add email addresses to my Flodeo friends list?

You can add friends by importing contacts from your email account contact list or by entering their names and emails.

43. Can I modify the text that is sent when notifying contacts?

Yes, you can modify it and write whatever you want to your friends.

44. How do I close my Flodeo account?

To close your Flodeo account, log in and go to "My Account > Account Information > To close your Flodeo account click here".

45. How can I change my email address?

Go to My Account > Account Information, change your email and "Save changes". We will send you an email to verify your new email address.

46. What is a nickname?

A nickname is a name that you choose so that other users can identify you. It is also a way to make the environment more friendly without calling people by their proper names

47. Why do I see a "site under maintenance" message when I try to log into my Flodeo?

Probably, we are currently working on the site.

48. Can I create many Flodeo accounts with the same email address?

No, you can create only one account per email address. If you want to create another one,do it with a different email address.
